Marilyn I. "Midge" Ryan

March 14, 1942 - August 22, 2015

Marilyn Ilene “Midge” Ryan, 73 of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Friendship Village Pavillion.

She was born March 14, 1942 in Worthington, Missouri, the daughter of Charles L. and Goldie “Marie” May Guffey. She married John M. Ryan April 22, 1961 at St. John Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Midge graduated from Queen City High School, Queen City, Mo., in 1959. She was employed at Black’s Dept. Store as a clerk, also Sartori Hospital and St. Edward Child Care.

Survivors include: her husband; a daughter, Brenda (Scott) Mickle of Waterloo; two sons, Jeff (Deanna) and Mark (Denise) both of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren, Drew, Jordan, Madisen, Cameron, Ethan, Katelyn and David; 1 great grandchild, Callen; two sisters, Deanie (Bob) House of South Bend, Ind., and Dorothy (Dennis) Robinson of Greentop, Mo.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Richard; and by a sister, Phyllis, in infancy.

As per her wishes, there will be no services. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgway assisted the family.

Memorials: directed to St. Edward Catholic Church or Cedar Valley Catholic Schools.
