Biography--
Ernest L. Wagner, 69, of Waterloo, formerly of Livonia, MO died in Waterloo, on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from complications of cancer.
He was born March 9, 1945 in Trumann, Arkansas, son of James G. and Jane Dixon Wagner. He married Sharon Goosens in Kewanee, Illinois, in 1965, they later divorced. Later he married, Sharon Pepper in 1992, she died 2012.
He received his GED in Navy and attended Black Hawk College majoring in law enforcement in Kewanee, IL. He served in the United States Navy, receiving an Honorable Discharge
He worked for the Kewanee, Illinois, Police Dept. 1975 to 1977; and was a corrections officer with the Texas Dept. of Corrections during the 1980s 1990s.
Ernest is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Steve) Herrmann, of Waterloo; Son, Paul Wagner of Minnesota; three grandchildren: Andrew, Zachary and Alice Herrmann; great-granddaughter, Kiralyn Herrmann; stepson, Travis Tossell of Arizona; step-daughter, Nicole (Christopher) Smith of Galva, Illinois; step-grandchildren: Tyler and Kylee Sall, and Karter Smith; three Brothers: Stanley V. Wagner of Toulon, Illinois; Joseph Wagner of Florida; Donald Wagner of Trumann, Arkansas; two sisters, Susan Wagner of Kewanee, Illinois, and Evelyn Wagner of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; his wife; and by three sisters: Alice Wagner, Corliss R. Wagner and Catherine Wagner.
