Lester F. "Les" Corwin, 84, of Cedar Falls, died at Sartori Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

Les was born on July 19, 1931 in Cedar Falls, the son of Frank and Evella Jordan Corwin. He graduated from West High in 1949.

Les married Barbara DeBuhr on August 5, 1951 in Waterloo. She died October 13, 1980. He married Shirley Bandfield on May 22, 1982.

He worked as a foundry engineer at John Deere until retiring in 1985.

He was member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived by his wife, Shirley Corwin of Cedar Falls; by two sons, Daniel (Lisa) Corwin of Blairstown and Paul (Kathy) Corwin of Waterloo; by four grandchildren: Joshua (Amanda) Corwin, Amanda (Trent) Thomas, Nichole (Ryan) Russell, Ryan Corwin; and by eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Tom Corwin; and by two sisters, Beatrice Neuhalfen and Edith Close.

Friday, October 9, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls

Visitation:
Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Locke Funeral Home.

Cemetery:
Private Family burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, at a later date.
