Biography

Pauline B. Lowe, 97, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, September 30, at Western Home Communities Martin Health Center of natural causes.

She was born February 24, 1918, in Charles City, daughter of John Elmer and Clara Schuman Fay. She married Theron M. Lowe on April 17, 1939, in Waterloo; he died January 8, 2004.

A 1935 graduate of Waterloo West High School, Pauline had worked as a secretary at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo, in early years. She owned Lowe's Duplicating Service from 1952 until 1983. She was a member of Cedar Valley Community Church, Altrusa International Waterloo Chapter and Reber Avenue Neighborhood Sewing Club.

Survived by two sons, T. Michael (Joan) of Waterloo and Max (Gwen) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Richter of Independence; eight grandchildren: Randy Richter, Melanie (Don) Stelting, Craig (Jill) Lowe, Christine (Mike) Specht, Dennis Lowe, David (Andrea) Lowe, Steve (Dawn) Lowe and Daryl (Brenda) Lowe; 11 great-grandchildren: Jaki and Joy Richter, Tyler, Lexa, and Ashlyn Stelting; Taylor and Jared Lowe, Jacob and Tatum Specht, Andy (Taylor) Lowe, and Whitney (Josiah) Nagel; a sister, Velma Brown of Waterloo; a brother-in-law, Donald Lowe of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Fay of Grand Junction, Colo.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ralph “Bud” Fay; and a sister, Dorothy Sturtz.

Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Visitation:
Friday, October 2, 2015 at the funeral home.

Cemetery:
Private family burial in Waterloo Cemetery precedes services.
