Biography--

Marilynn M. Bouck, 81, of Waterloo, died at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital, Thursday February 12, 2015.

Marilynn was born July 4, 1933 in Rockford, Illinois, daughter of Alva and Marie (Fisher) Colby.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1951.

She married Calvin Bouck on August 30, 1952, at First Methodist Church in Waterloo.

Marilynn worked as a bookkeeper for Sherwood Florist for many years and later took care of her family as a homemaker. She was a member of Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, and Women's Aglow Fellowship.

Marilynn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and showering them with love and gifts. She enjoyed the time she lived in Arkansas as it reminded her of being on vacation. Marilynn had a passion for travel, including the time she spent on her trailer and boating on the Mississippi to her favorite foreign destination, Israel. When she wasn’t traveling and spending time with family, Marilynn loved a good book.

Marilynn is survived by her husband Calvin Bouck of Waterloo; son Brian (Shirlee) Bouck of Waterloo; daughter Karen (Michael) Shaw of Waterloo; granddaughters: Carrie Metz, Holly (Aaron) McRae, and Stephanie (Josh) Heller; grandsons: Curtis (Angela) Shaw and Ryan (Ashley) Shaw; and 14 great‑grandchildren.
