HUDSON, IOWA - Maxine Beck, 80, of Hudson, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born September 9, 1934, in Vorhees, daughter of Carl and Mina Whannel Jensen. She married Roger Beck in Waterloo and they later divorced.

Maxine graduated from Hudson High School in 1953. She worked at Rath Packing Co. from 1954-56, Black Hawk Publishing Co. from 1971-72 and John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 22 years, retiring in 1996.

Survived by two sons, Tony (Marcie) of Evansdale and Jeff of Hudson; by two daughters, Deb (Dave) Burbank of Goddard, Kansas, and Barbara Beck of Cedar Falls; by six grandchildren: Lacy, Kayla, and Austin Beck, Ashley and Ben Burbank, and Kyler Higdon; by four great-grandchildren: Sterling and Skyler Morris, Lily Mae Maxine Beck and Austin Marable; and by a brother, Richard “Buzz” (Barbara) Jensen, of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie; by four brothers: Donald, Jim, her twin Max, and Dale Jensen; and a sister, Jean Jensen.

Family graveside services: will be at a later date, with inurnment in Hudson Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
