Robert R. “Bob” Troudt
Died: Jun 28, 2015

Biography-

Robert R. “Bob” Troudt, 90, of Waterloo, died at UnityPoint Health–Allen Hospital on Sunday, June 28, 2015, of natural causes.

Bob was born December 1, 1924 in Waterloo, the son of Henry and Marie Fillon Troudt.

He married Norma Jean Lindquist November 16, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois. She died March 30, 2007.

Bob graduated from Waterloo West High School. He worked as a tech in the research engineering department at John Deere for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bob was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was an honor guard with the American Legion for many years.

He is survived by his son Ron (Carolyn) Troudt of Waterloo; daughter Diana Arter of Waterloo; daughter Karen (Vernon) Slessor of Plainfield; daughter Mary Ann (Dennis) Pryor of Springfield, Illinois; son Michael (Sheila) Troudt of Waterloo; daughter Janice (Dave) Niederhauser of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Timothy Pryor, and half-sister Louise Schmitt.

Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1301 Kimball Ave. Waterloo.

Visitation:
Wednesday, at Locke Funeral Home.

Cemetery:
Waterloo Cemetery, with military honors.
