Biography--

Robert Bradshaw, 91, of Friendship Village, died at Covenant Medical Center, Tuesday, July 21, 2015.

Bob was born April 4, 1924, in Creston, Iowa, the son of Charles and Myrtle McGregor Bradshaw. He married Alice "Arlene" Miller July 13, 1947 in Waterloo. She died December 28, 2009.

Bob graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1941, attended Gates Business College, University of Kentucky, and Walton School of Commerce where he graduated in 1947 with a BS Degree Accounting. He worked for 30 years at Rath Packing Co. including 1973‑1980 as Corporate Controller. He then worked for Clarke Checks Inc. and retired in 1989 as Chief Financial Officer. He was a consultant and Profit Sharing Trustee until 1997.

Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He was past president of Waterloo Chapter of the Institute of Management Accounts and a past National Director of the Institute of Management Accountants. He was a member of the Stuart Cameron McCloud Society. He was active in and an officer of the Friendship Village Auxiliary and chaired the Village Place Resident Council for 3 years. Bob enjoyed sports, reading, and genealogy. Bob spent many hours on genealogy web sites and was able to compile his family through 35 generations, his mother’s family back to 650AD and his father’s to 950AD.

Bob was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and had been a long time member of South Waterloo Church of the Brethren where he had been Moderator, Treasurer, Board Chair, Deacon, Senior High Youth Leader, and Adult Sundy School Teacher. He was a member of the Waterloo Kiwanis Club and had served as fundraising chair for the YWCA.

Survivors include: son Mark Bradshaw of Austin, TX; two granddaughters Elizabeth and Madeleine Bradshaw.

Preceded in death by: parents, wife, son Kevin L. Bradshaw, brother Dale "Mac" Bradshaw, sister Helen J. Meyers

10:30 AM, August 1, 2015, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1301 Kimball Ave, Waterloo

Cemetery:
Inurnment will take place in Orange Township Cemetery prior to services.
