CEDAR FALLS - Farrell Carroll Nelson, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at NorthCrest Specialty Care, Waterloo.

She was born June 25, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, daughter, James W. and Mary E. Gross Swanger. She married John F. Carroll on Sept. 25, 1943, at Camp Gordon, Ga; he died Feb. 20, 1981.

Farrell was employed in housekeeping at Country View Care Center, Waterloo.

Survived by a daughter-in-law, Chun Carroll of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Larry; a daughter, Beverly Carroll; and a sister.

Private graveside services Wednesday at Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
