Beatrice (Foley) Sours – March 17, 1880 – July 13, 1956

FORMER RESIDENT DIED IN WATERLOO

Mrs. Philip Sours, 76, of Waterloo, died Friday at 3:15 a.m. of a caria-hear condition at her home.

She was born Beatrice Foley March 17, 1880, at County Waterford, Ireland, a daughter of Michael and Cathereine Kever Foley and came to the United States at the age of 13 years.

On April 19, 1899, she was married at Perry, Oklahoma, to Philip Sours who died in 1944. She went to Waterloo in 1928 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Catherine, at home, Mrs. A. J. Staudt, Waterloo, and four sons, Ray of Oakland, California, Leo of Waterloo, John of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and James of San Leandro, California.

Additional survivors are 20 grandchildren and three sisters, Miss Margaret Foley and Mrs. Ellen Myland of county Waterford, Ireland, and Mrs. P. J. Dorsey of Guthrie, Oklahoma. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Philip, in 1952, and four brothers and two sisters.

The Sours family were residents of Marble Rock for a number of years.
