CEDAR FALLS - Charlotte Joan Hile Grosse, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of Albert and Florence Hile. She married David Grosse in April 1949 in Nashua. They divorced in 1971. She married William Fouts in February 1973, in Waterloo and they divorced in 1996.

She attended East Waterloo High School. Charlotte had various jobs in the area, the most recent at Clark Prosthetics and senior care in local nursing homes.

Survived by a son, Steve (Ketrena) Grosse of Locust Grove, Okla.; three daughters, Sheri Davis of Waterloo, Debra Grosse of West Des Moines and Julie Grosse of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a grandson; and a brother, Melvin Hile.

A private burial in Greenwood Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association in Charlotte’s name.
