[Semi Weekly Iowa State Reporter, Friday, January 17, 1902, Waterloo, Iowa]

The death of Mrs. Chas. Heller was briefly announced in yesterday's Reporter. The late hour at which the news was received prevented publication at that time of the following brief sketch of her life:

The deceased was born in Prussia, November* 6, 1839, her maiden name being Elizabeth Salz. She came to this country in childhood and was married to Charles Heller in Chicago, Jan. 25, 1859. Ten years later, in 1869, they came to this county and settled on the farm in Orange Township which they occupied for many years.

Seven children were born to them: Charles, Eleanora, Thomas, Sarah, Henry, George and Anna, all of whom survive but one, daughter. The father died a few years ago. Mrs. Heller moved to Waterloo in 1899 and built the home in which she died.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the South Waterloo church and she will be buried near it by the side of her husband and child. J. M. Paul will speak at the funeral, the deceased being a member of the Christadelphian Church.
