CEDAR FALLS - Kathy Christine “Chris” Miller, 59, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo, from complications of diabetes.

She was born Jan. 6, 1955, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Milo and Eva Katherine Woods Weltruski. She married Russ Miller on Aug. 8, 1987, in Cedar Falls.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Laurie Kearns of Grundy Center and Carissa (Ryan) Harms of Dike; three grandchildren, Madilyn, Hunter and Landen Harms; her father of Cedar Falls; a brother, Doug (Shelley) Weltruski of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Chj (Orv) Morris of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Sheila Roedel; and an infant son, Jared Kearns.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
