WATERLOO - Mark Anthony Bean, 46, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home from complications of diabetes.

He was born May 7, 1968, in Waterloo, son of Chris and Diane Kay Pappas Bean. He married Jennifer Kopf on Dec. 31, 1993, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced.

Mark graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1986 and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Tyson’s in production until becoming disabled.

Survived by his parents of Waterloo; a son, Connor of South Carolina; two brothers, David (Donna) of Benicia, Calif., and Paul (Pam) of Waterloo; and a sister, Amy (Rick) Brown of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Raymonda Bean; maternal grandparents, Pete and Mary Pappas; and an aunt, Pat Boland.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Burton Avenue Baptist Church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mark enjoyed computers and watching horror movies. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
