WATERLOO - Lori Jean Schmitt, 49, of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at NorthCrest Specialty Care.

She was born Dec. 31, 1964, in Oelwein, daughter of Dennis “Denny” Moore and Elanor “Ellie” Gosse. She married Paul Anthony Schmitt on Sept. 21, 1985, in Oelwein. He died Oct. 15, 2013.

Lori graduated from Oelwein High School and went on to work in banking and insurance.

Survived by a son, Cory (Stefanie Newhouse) of Platteville, Wis.; a daughter, Megan (Kevin) Kaiser of Waterloo; her mother, of Oelwein; a brother, Randy (Julie) Moore of Westgate; and two sisters, Teri (Tim) Burkey of Westgate and Cheryl Moore of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by her father; and a brother-in-law, Robert “Robbie” Casey.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services on Tuesday.
