WASHBURN - Bruce Greene, 61, of Washburn, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born May 23, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Homer Greene and Hildegarde Lindstrom. He married Lola Schons and they later divorced.

A graduate of Waterloo West High School, Bruce owned and operated BG's Import Repair and later worked for Rokes Construction.

Survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Christopher) Hurlbut of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Matthew and Autumn Hurlbut; his mother of Winterhaven, Fla.; a sister, Marilyn O'Connor of Alaska; a half sister, Sharon Buckingham of Washington; and a half brother, Brian Greene of Moline, Ill.

Preceded in death by a son, Joseph; a daughter, Jessica Greene; and his father.

The family will greet friends during an informal time of sharing from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Waterloo. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
