WATERLOO - Steven C. Sampson, 54, of Ames, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames.

He was born May 31, 1952, in Ames, son of Charles and Doris Ballard Sampson. He was a graduate of Ames High School and had been in the banking business in the Waterloo area. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his father of Ames; two sons, Joe (Kelly) of Bellefonte, Pa., and Mark of Iowa City; a daughter, Megan Sampson of Minneapolis; and a sister, Susan (Danny) Kepley of Ames.

Preceded in death by his mother.

Services: were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home, Ames, with burial in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
