WATERLOO - Gerald A. "Jerry" Thomas, 58, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 5,2007, at Country View Care Center.

He was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Herbert J. and Evelyn V. Thomas. He married Cynthia Morgan on Oct. 13, 1967, and they later divorced. He married Devra Christians on May 22, 1976, and they later divorced.

In the past, Jerry was employed by Chamberlains, Hinson's Manufacturing., Wright's Tree Service and Jim's Truck Stop. He enjoyed his motorcycle, fishing, his family and Mountain Dew.

Survived by a son, Brian of Alaska; two daughters, Tempest Murray of Hudson and Charity Thomas of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, Casey Murray, Jesse Murray and Abigayle Godsey; his father of Waterloo; a brother, Richard (Leigh) of Oklahoma; a sister, Kim (Frank) Swallow of Waterloo; a stepbrother, Stanley (Mary) Burnell of Michigan; a stepsister, Lola (Donald) Isenhower of Hudson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his mother.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
