CEDAR FALLS - Bob F. Brown, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Martin Health Center of Western Home Communities.

He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Waterloo, son of Floyd W. and Ruby R. Smith Brown. He married Mary Ellen Hogeland on Oct. 14, 1944, in Chicago.

A 1942 graduate of Waterloo West High School, Bob attended State College of Iowa and served as a Machinist Mate 1C in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a manufacturing engineer for 37 years at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1979, and was president of John Deere Supervisors Club.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Sherri (Jim) Martin of Cordova, Ill., Amy (Greg) Robbins of Denver and Susan (Mark) Jackson of Waterloo; a son, Michael (Betty) of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Michael (Toni Gau) Martin, Andrew (Mysti) Robbins, Whitney (Dan Mast) Robbins, Brady Robbins, Sara (Elleana Saloman) Brown, Benjamin Brown, Bryan Brown, Aaron (Jena) Jackson and Maryjane (Ryan Cose) Jackson; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Martin, Nolan Martin, Waveland Robbins, Addison and Isabel Robbins, Walker Hageman and Madeline Rose Saloman; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Wittney and Taylor Mast.

Preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Betty Fischer.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials: may be directed to Shrine Children’s Hospital or Cedar Valley Hospice.
