WATERLOO - Ruth Anne Schell, 39, of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital, of natural causes.

She was born July 20, 1975, in Waterloo, daughter of Tim and Shirley Snyder Schell.

Ruth Anne graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1994. Over the years she worked at the Evansdale Youth Softball complex, McDonalds, Bill Doren, Cost Cutters, the Waterloo Black Hawks Box Office and babysat.

Survived by her parents of Waterloo; her significant other, Derek Witcombe of Aplington; a brother, Jon (Danielle Leerhoff) Schell of Sumner; two sisters, Shannon (Tim Armstrong) Carpenter of Mason City and Billie Jo (Jason) Oldakowski of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Patricia Schell; maternal grandparents, Harold and Ruth Snyder; and an aunt, Ginger Chilcote.

Journey of Life: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.

Ruth Anne enjoyed arts and crafts, dancing, bowling and bingo. She always made people smile, and she always was smiling. She loved all of her nieces and nephews dearly. Ruth Anne will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
