WATERLOO - Sandra Cassaidy, 74, of Landmark Commons, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of pancreatic cancer.

She was born June 29, 1940, in Fairfield, daughter of Murl and Neva Kitchen Tedrow, and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Ray and Zelda Tedrow Wright. She married Arlet E. Cassaidy on Aug. 12, 1962, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Libertyville.

Sandra graduated from Douds Leando Consolidated High School in 1958 and received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Iowa in 1962. She was employed as the public health nurse in Scott and Buena Vista counties. She also had worked for the U.S. Postal service in Waterloo for 20 years, retiring as a rural mail carrier in 2000. She was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Brian (Julie) of Ames and Kevin (Lisa) of Mount Prospect, Ill.; five grandchildren, Kyle, Ben and Lauren, Matt and Gracie; three brothers, Leroy (Audrey) Clingman of Fort Madison, Lloyd (Nancy) Tedrow of Muscatine and Gary (Linda) Tedrow of Salem; and a sister, Beverly Kuhljuergen of Muscatine.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Katherine Graham Pahl Chapel at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, where visitation begins at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the cemetery. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Waterloo First United Methodist Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
