Henry Herman Stahlhut, 57, of 215 Lester Street, died of a heart ailment at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home.

Born Feb. 8, 1889, in Bremer County, Iowa, the son of Henry N. and Mary Stahlhut, he married Laura Heineman Nov. 26, 1908, in Bremer County. A retired farmer, he came to Waterloo eight years ago and since had been employed here as city assessor.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Ferd, 2756 East Fourth Street, Rein, 525 Hope Avenue; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Boderman, Sumner, Ia., Mrs. Floyd Eisenman, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Amil Gaede, Mrs. Harold Rundle, and Mrs. Ed. Meyer, Sumner, and Mrs. Erwin Sell, 522 Newton Street, and five grandchildren.

One sister and brother preceded him in death.

The body will remain at Kearns Garden Chapel until 2 p.m. Wednesday, when it will be taken to the family residence at 216 Lester Street.

Funeral services for Henry Herman Stahlhut, 57, who died at his home, 216 Lester Street, Tuesday, will be conducted at the home at 2 p.m. Friday, and at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m. Rev. W. D. Oetting, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body is at Kearns Garden Chapel.
