WATERLOO - Alexis Sue Fuller, 15 days old, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics of alveolar capillary dysplasia.

She was born at 35 weeks on Monday, Oct. 20, in Iowa City, daughter of Blake and Angela Williams Fuller.

Survived by her parents, of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, Steve and Angela B. Fuller of Waterloo; aunts and uncles, Courtney Fuller, Joy (Mike) McIntosh, Christina Williams, Keeley Jordan and Shannon (Dan) Fuller-Michelsen; and 15 cousins.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Susan and Mark Bebee and Gary Williams; an uncle, Christopher Fuller; and a cousin, Jadine Williams.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services on Saturday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund is being established.

Alexis was loved by the staff at the hospital. Alexis’ story reached many, and the family would like to thank her supporters and those who cared for her at the U of I. She came into this world as a fighter and she left this world as a fighter.

Alexis Sue Fuller was born a hero at 35 weeks, on October 20, 2014 at 3:37 am, in Iowa City, Iowa: the daughter of Blake and Angela (Williams) Fuller.

At 20 weeks, she was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. When Alexis was one week old, the family found out her HLHS was a result of a much more serious condition, called Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia.

Before she was born, she was very active and she was quite the Diva. Alexis was loved by all the staff at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. She was given her very own spa day and molds were made of her hands and feet.

Alexis’ story reached many, and the family would like to thank all of her supporters and those who cared for her at the U of I. She came into this world as a fighter and she left this world as a fighter.

On Alexis’ terms, she became an angel on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 when she was 15 days old.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Susan and Mark Bebee and Gary Williams; an uncle Christopher Fuller and a cousin Jadine Williams.
