WASHBURN - Warren L. VanWie, 20, of Washburn, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, from injuries sustained from a car accident.

He was born Feb. 2, 1994, in Waterloo, son of Lori and Donald VanWie Jr., and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Mick Franklin.

Survived by a daughter, Arianna VanWie of Cedar Falls; his fiancé, Leah McGrane of Cedar Falls; his parents, Lori and Mick Franklin of Washburn and Donald VanWie Jr. of Evansdale; his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Sandra Siems of Chetek, Wis.; paternal grandparents, Michael and Nada Franklin, and Doris Walton, all of Waterloo; two brothers, Nick VanWie of Washburn and Tanner Trenholm of Dubuque; many aunts, uncles, cousins, the McGrane family and many friends.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald VanWie Sr.; his maternal great-grandfather, Warren L. Colvin Sr.; and maternal great-grandparents, John and Milka Hauser.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
