CEDAR FALLS - Thomas W. Thode, 47, of Cedar Falls, died at home on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.

He was born Feb. 8, 1967, in Cedar Falls, son of William R. “Bill” and Pat (Katz) Thode. He was a 1985 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City.

Survived by his mother, Pat Thode, of Cedar Falls; a brother David (Emily) Thode; and three nieces, Erin, Jane and Annie Thode, all of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo.

Thomas was a kind and gentle spirit, and a huge Washington Redskins and Chicago Cubs fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and his cat, “Boo”.
