WATERLOO - Christine H. Paras, 83, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born July 2, 1923, in Waterloo, daughter of Harry and Helen Moote Paras. She graduated from Waterloo East High School and was employed at Rath Packing Co. until her retirement.

Survivors include: a nephew, Albert (Kim) Paras of McKinney, Texas; and a niece, Cassandra (William) Hesseling of Brooksville, Fla.

Preceded in death by two brothers, George and Bill; and two sisters, Ethyl and Mary.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Demetrios' Greek Orthodox Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
