LA PORTE CITY - Lola E. Rousselow, 77, of La Porte City, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at her home of complications from multiple sclerosis.

She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Lewis Elton and Bernice Collins Deits. She married Leonard Rousselow Nov. 14, 1947, at 8 p.m. during a snowstorm at Grace Brethren Church with the Rev. Arnold Krieg Baum officiating.

She graduated West High School in 1947 and worked at home and helped on the farm whenever needed. Mrs. Rousselow was a Grace Brethren Church charter member. Church was a major part of her life where she was actively involved in many committees.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Dean (Judy) of La Porte City and Dan (Lynn) of Waterloo; two daughters, Sarah (Rod) Munro of Bend, Ore., and Judy (Mike) Christian of Chiang Mai, Thailand; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou (Paul) Saunders of Jasper, Ark.; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Grady of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Iva Belle Kepple and Anna Mae Grady.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Brethren Church, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
