Harold Ohrt, 88, of Walker, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, in his home following a short illness. Services 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Walker, by the Rev. Al Milligan, with burial in Campton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 23, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Velma; three sons, Ronald (Julie) Ohrt of Overland Park, Kan., Philip (Carole) Priest of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Timothy (Faye) Priest of Twisp, Wash.; a daughter, Verala (Joe) Booth of Riverside, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Zelda (Merle) Koser of Coggon and Ruth (Jim) Walker of Vinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margaret Sheffler; and two brothers, Donald Ohrt and Robert Ohrt.

On April 24, 1918, in Eagle Center, Harold was born the son of Herman and Leta (Wright) Ohrt. On April 15, 1961, Harold was united in marriage to Velma (Pagel) Priest in Nashua. Harold farmed for 60 years.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be made in Harold's memory to the Campton Cemetery.
