WATERLOO - Norlan "Knut" Tillotson, 91, of Cedar Falls, formerly of 162 Lowder Road, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center of complications of advanced age.

He was born July 4, 1914, in Dresden Township, son of Harvey and Frances Randell Tillotson. He married Mary "Lois" Califf Dec. 31, 1935, in Waterloo. She died Nov. 11, 1996.

Mr. Tillotson was employed in the hog kill at Rath Meat Packing Plant. He enjoyed pool playing until his retirement. He was a pool club member of the Golden Tables of America and also played many tournaments for the Elks. Knut won numerous trophies during his pool career.

Survived by a sister, Dorothy Tauber of Cedar Falls; and three nephews, John "Jack" Black and Everett D. Hilton, both of Waterloo, and James Hilton of Hampton.

Preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant daughter, Susan; two sisters, Lucille Hahn and Glennis Amphar; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys (Howard) Emmerick and Loretta (Louie) Jirak.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
