Donna Jean Griese, 62, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Denver, died Aug. 23, 2014, of natural causes after a long illness.

She was born July 15, 1952, in Waterloo, daughter of Ernest "Christy" and Clarice Ysen Griese.

Donna was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church-Maxfield, rural Denver. She graduated from Denver High School and Hawkeye Community College, and had worked many years as an architectural draftsperson, retiring from The Architectural Offices of Omaha due to health reasons.

Survived by four sisters, Bonnie Foust of Denver, Carolyn (Jerry) Zanko of Duluth, Minn., and Lisa Stasi of and Janet (Leroy) Jacob, both of Omaha; a brother, John (Dianna) Griese of Fairbank; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Loren Griese; a niece, Tangela Young; and a brother-in-law John Foust.

Celebration of Life service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church-Maxfield.
