CEDAR FALLS - Kathryn L. Dykes, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Richard and Frances Chamberlain Wahner. She married Eldon L. Dykes on June 26, 1959, in Cedar Falls. He died May 28, 2014.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1959 and was a homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survived by two daughters, Kathryn Anne (Bob) Rowray of Delhi and Kiona (Darren) Pommer of Cedar Falls; two sons, Christopher E. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert of Joliet, Ill.; three grandchildren, Joshua D. (Amy) Minikus, Brandi (Jason) Bresson and Kaylee Mettlin; a great-grandchild, Zoey Bresson; and a brother, James (Marcia) Wahner of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard and William Wahner.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and for an hour before services Thursday.
