Mrs. William Alderman, 87, formerly of 220 Lafayette St., died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Ritze, of 417 Baltimore St. Cause of the death was complications due to advanced age.

She was born. Nov. 1, 1867. in Waterloo, as Ida, the daughter of Nathan and Mary Roebuck. She was married to William Alderman Jan. 4. 1887, in Waterloo.

She had been a member of the Women's Relief Corps since 1901, had been president of the organization for nine years and served as the secretary for 36 years. She was also a member of Becker chapter, Order of Eastern Star and attended First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughier, Mrs. Ritze, one sister, Mrs. Anna Parrott, of 612 Independence Ave., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, four brothers and two sisters.

The body may be seen at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after noon Thursday. Funeral arrangements are pending.
