WATERLOO - Betty Jo Robinson, 88, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born June 19, 1926, in Sac City, daughter of William and Lou Lou Humphrey Healea. She married John K. Robinson on Dec. 15, 1946, in Waterloo; they later divorced.

She graduated in 1945 from high school in Eugene, Ore. She was a waitress, bartender, and hostess at The Colony Club for 33 years, retiring in 1988, and she was a member of Linden United Methodist Church.

Survived by two sons, Ronald (Rose) of Alta Vista and Jerald Robinson of Mount Auburn; a daughter, Sandra (Don) Borwig of Evansdale; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by six sisters, Wanda Bell Healea, Violet Healea, Gwen Twyford, Marjorie Lewis, Connie Jenkins and Shirley Ingram; and two brothers, Obe and Gerald Healea

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Linden United Methodist Church, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Linden United Methodist or RSVP.

She was a volunteer with RSVP since 1988 at the Round Desk at the Schoitz Building and received her RSVP 6000 Hour pin in 2008.
