CEDAR FALLS - Marie M. Wheelock, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born May 6, 1927, in Waterloo, daughter of William and Hazel Fouts Smith. She married Dencil C. Wheelock on Nov. 27, 1944, in Cedar Falls. He died Feb. 9, 1984.

Survivors include four sons, Larry (Sharon) of Waterloo, Bill (Linda), Daniel and Joseph (Janet), all of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Judy Zook of Evansdale, Laura (Bob) Wireman of Nashua, Christa (Tom) Schons of Cedar Falls and Starla Wheelock of Coralville; 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel (Doris) Smith of Lorena, Texas, Richard (Peggy) Smith of Denver, Iowa, and William (Caryl) Smith of Waterloo; and three sisters, Connie (Sam) Tarr of Portaville, Calif., Betty (Bob) Platt of Cedar Falls and Karla (Jim) Pike of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teri Jo; three brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Victor Smith; and two sisters, her twin, Mary Smith, and Delores Smith in infancy.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Bible Church, corner of Fern and Green avenues, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
