WATERLOO - Charles A. Charlie Rager, 66, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at Grandview Care Center, Oelwein.

He was born May 7, 1939, in Waterloo, son of James and Virginia MacDaniel Rager. He married Jane Hinz, and they later divorced. He married Dianne Fleck, and they later divorced.

Mr. Rager had been employed as a supervisor at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 32 years, retiring April 30, 1993. He enjoyed rebuilding vintage cars, as well as hunting, fishing and motorcycles. He also had owned and operated other small businesses in the area.

Survivors include two daughters, Robyn R. Rager of Waterloo and Charla (Matt) Byram of Waverly; four grandchildren, Zachary Duran, Chelsie Thompson, Trevor and Tim Byram; and two sisters, his twin, Nancy (Ray) Nottnagel of California and Gladen (Henry) Harnish of Waverly.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel, with a 7 p.m. public Masonic service by Martin Lodge 624 AF&AM. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the chapel.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
