WATERLOO - Lydia Hyde, 93, of Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died at the home Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005.

She was born April 15, 1912, in Grundy Center, daughter of Enno and Anna Van Deest Knock. She married Raymond F. Hyde on March 24, 1944, in Grundy Center. He died in 1977.

Mrs. Hyde worked as a nurses aide at Allen Hospital for 23 years and at Rath Packing Co.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Bergman, Effie Klosterboer, Helen Stickfort, Gertie Bergman and Lena Eichel.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
