WATERLOO - Eugene Clark Shirley, 70, of Waterloo, died April 1, 2009, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born May 14, 1938, in Waterloo, son of Charles O. and Mary J. Gene Clark Shirley.

Mr. Shirley graduated from Waterloo East High School and was a welder at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring after 36 years.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Community of Christ Church, 4616 Cedar Heights Drive, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
