WATERLOO - Marvin Storbeck, 88, of Alabama, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Strawberry Point.

Mr. Storbeck had his own insurance agency in Waterloo and was a veteran of World War II.

Survived by two children, Rhonda Euchner (Jim) and Jim Storbeck (Alicia), both of Auburn, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Ashley Medeiros, Allyson Adams, Joseph Storbeck and Paola Storbeck.

Preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Mennen Storbeck; and two brothers, Melvin and Dean Storbeck.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home, Opelika, Ala. Visitation will be for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

He always had a quick wit and enjoyed playing the banjo and singing at nursing homes, or even at the doctor’s office. Eventually he and Colleen settled in Auburn, Ala.
