Mrs. Peter Cummings, 88, for about 30 years a resident of Waterloo, died Sunday at a hospital in Austin, Minn., according to word received here by friends.

Mrs. Cummings had lived with her son, Webb Cummings, at Lansing, Minn., since leaving Waterloo in 1932.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Lansing, with burial in Eagle Center Cemetery at 3 p.m. Casket bearers will be H. M. Merrill of Cedar Falls, Mark Humphrey. W. D. Strayer and W. G. Strayer, all of Hudson, la., and Peter Hauler and Walter Bell of Eagle Township.

Mrs. Cummings is survived by her son, Webb, and two daughters Mrs. Edith Wildhagen of Waukesha, Wis., and Mrs. Elsie Stebbins of Washington state.

Her husband preceded her in death about 40 years ago. After his death. Mrs. Cummings moved from a farm in Eagle Township to Waterloo, and made her home here until 1932.

Mrs. Cummings was born Ida Esther Cornell, April 23, 1853.
