WATERLOO - Betty Lou Burger, 75, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at her home of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Waterloo, daughter of Maynard W. and Bessie Foster Evans. She married Lloyd Burger on Aug. 21, 1948, in Waterloo. He died Nov. 11, 1985.

She graduated from East High School in 1948.

Survived by a daughter, Pamela (Jeff) Reincke of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Carol Burger of Waterloo; five granddaughters, Melanie (Brian) McElhose of Cedar Falls, Heather Francis of Evansdale, Carrie (Chad) Heinzerling of Hudson and Missy (Jason) Anders and Angela (Will) Tieskotter, both of Waterloo; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Judy) Evans of Marion; two sisters, Donna Hughes of Waterloo and Carol Rassler of Marion; and a brother-in-law, Merlin Edsill of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Ronald and Rickie; and a sister, Patricia Edsill

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Presbyterian Church.

Betty's love and friendship will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
