IVERSON, LINDAHL, HAZELTON, PETERSON

Miss Marjorie M. Iverson, 98, of North Aurora, Ill., passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. She was born July 22, 1916, in Stanhope, the daughter of the late John and Matilda Iverson.

She was a loving and generous person, an accomplished musician and dedicated music teacher, especially of the violin, for 71 years, most recently in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area, but also in Indiana, Nevada, Washington and Alaska. During World War II she spent several years as a music director with the USO in Panama. Her life was devoted to her love for her family and her wish to pass her love of music on to everyone she knew.

She is survived by her three sisters, Esther Lindahl, Rosalind Hazelton and Donna Peterson; her sister-in-law, Jeanne Iverson, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and burial will be at Lake Center Cemetery, Stanhope.

Arrangements are being handled by The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506.
