CEDAR FALLS - Betty J. McCombs, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

She was born June 2, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of August and Elsie Stromer Pichelmann. She married Philip L. McCombs Sr. on Feb. 10, 1940, in Waterloo; he died May 11, 2009.

Betty had worked at Rath Packing Co. and Wagner Overhead Doors for a period of time. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Survived by two daughters, Kay (Rex) Streblow of Waterloo and Julia (Ken) Benda of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Kenny (Norma) and Phil Jr. (Carol), both of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two grandsons; a great grandson; three brothers, Arnold, Howard and Richard Pichelmann; and a sister, Fern Lewis.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo.
