WATERLOO - The Rev. Franklin Vernon Moore, 74, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Sept. 10, at Covenant Medical Center of complications following a fall.

He was born July 10, 1935, in Lucern, Mo., son of William Franklin Moore and Leta May. He married Joanne Happekotte on Dec. 9, 1961, in Waterloo.

The Rev. Moore had been a Baptist minister for 45 years, serving in churches in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin and most recently in Fairbank.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Rebecca Moore of Waterloo; two sons, Lt. Col. Timothy (Lisa) of Leesburg, Va., and Philip (Suzan) of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two grandchildren; a brother, Charles Marcus of Davenport; and a sister, Carolyn Hockett of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by a brother, Perry Moore.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Dunkerton, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
