WATERLOO - Francis John Pint, 79, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

He was born July 30, 1929, in Osage, son of John and Regenia Blake Pint. He married Barbara Farr, and they later divorced.

Mr. Pint was a graduate of East High School. He was employed as a meat cutter at Rath Packing Co. until its closing. He farmed in the Tripoli area and worked for Homestead Packing Co. until his retirement.

Survived by three sons, Gregory (Linda) of California, Stephen of Tripoli and Ronald of Wisconsin; two daughters, Carol Coventree of Wisconsin and Teresa (Cliff) Balvanz of Plainfield; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Gene (Mary Jo) of Arkansas and Everett of Waterloo; a sister, Marian Sullivan of Cedar Rapids; and his companion, Lois Wade of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
