CEDAR FALLS - Louise Esther Polk, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Bickford Assisted Living.

She was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Charles and Clara Atkins Owen. She married Arthur F. Polk on May 5, 1946, in Waterloo; he died July 28, 1998.

Louise graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1941. She worked for John Deere until marriage, and then for many years was an inspector at Chamberlain Manufacturing until retirement. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by a son, Mark (Lyn) of Belton, Mo.; two daughters, Kathy (Don) Pritchett of Evansdale and Terry (Steve) Lottich of Coralville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Bob Owen; and a sister, Virginia McKenna.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, is assisting the family.
