WATERLOO - William D. Low, 91, of the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, died at home Monday, May 11, 2009.

He was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Sac City, son of Jessie and Nettie Richter Low.

He had worked at the President Hotel, then for the Iowa Department of Transportation as a Motor Vehicle Enforcement Officer from 1969 to 1983. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survived by several cousins.

Preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Burtcheard.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery chapel, with burial in the cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the cemetery chapel. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa Hospice.
