William J. "Bill" Krizek, 55, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center.

Bill was born August 20, 1947 in Toledo, Iowa the son of Laverne and Albina (Yuska) Krizek. He graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1965 and Gates Business College in 1967.

He married Vicki Freeland in 1966. They were later divorced. He married Barb Martin November 28, 1975 in Waterloo. He owned Krizek and Krizek, where he worked as an accountant with his father for 35 years. He was a member of Main Street Waterloo and the Waterloo Exchange Club.

Bill was a devoted family man. He had a love for the outdoors, whether it be fishing, bird watching, feeding squirrels, growing flowers or boating on the Mississippi. Bill also purchased in bulk, because you would never know when extras would come in handy. He enjoyed home improvement projects, including the recently completed kitchen remodel.

Survived by his wife; a daughter Kim Krizek of Cedar Falls; a son Chris Krizek and his wife Katie of Topeka, Kansas; a daughter Wendy Joseph and her husband Kelly of Sicily, Italy; a son William Krizek Jr. and his wife Shannon of Brunswick, Maine; his parents; a sister Bonnie Hertges and her husband Mike of Waterloo, and a brother John Krizek of Waterloo.
