WATERLOO - Tracy R. Schulz, 45, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home after a long illness.

He was born Sept. 24, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, son of Melvin and Karen Ann Buhr Schulz. He married Deanna Rae Clary on June 12, 1999, in Waterloo.

Mr. Schulz was a self-employed family therapist since 1998, owning the Council and Therapy Associates.

Survived by his wife; his father and stepmother, Melvin and Darlys Schulz of Waverly; his mother and stepfather, Karen and Don Neal of Tripoli; a stepson, Cory Hockey of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Kathryn Hockey of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Tod (Anna) of Waverly and Terry (Diane) of Conroy; and a sister, Kim (Brit Marcasen) Schulz of Coralville.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball. Public visitation from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
