Jeanette F. Kolthoff, 84, of Waterloo died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at her home of cancer.

Jeanette was born May 7, 1919 in Grundy County, Iowa the daughter of Hans and Nellie (Fredeciksen) Lehman.

She married Paul J. Kolthoff August 24, 1939 in Fredsville, Iowa. He died September 24, 2994. She worked as a staff member in the control center with the YWCA in Waterloo for 17 years retiring in 1985.

In her free time Jeanette enjoyed swimming and taking water aerobics classes at the YWCA. She also enjoyed walking with her best friend. Jeanette was also known for her sense of humor and her watch dog that didn't have to go outside or beg for food.

Jeanette is survived by a son Shawn of Waterloo; a grandson Jon; and a sister Myrna White of Cedar Falls.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Virgil Lehman.
