Alice L. Schwab, 87, of Waterloo, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at her home.

She was born on December 2, 1917 in Isanti County, Minnesota, the daughter of Paul and Bertha (Sellnow) Boettcher. She attended country school in Isanti, MN.
Alice married Lawrence “Larry” Schwab August 20, 1938 in Cambridge, MN. He died on June 29, 2001. She was a member of the Grace Reformed Church.

Alice was a homemaker most of her life and she loved to garden and can her favorites. She loved to travel with family and friends. Alice had a sweetness to her, a tender heart, as she was a gentle lady who always had a bowl of candy by her chair at the house.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Schwab and his wife Jan of Waterloo, Richard “Dick” Schwab of Waterloo; Four grandchildren: Brian Schwab, Bradley and his wife Melissa Schwab, David Schwab and JoEllen Schwab; Two great-grandchildren: Joseph Schwab and Marissa Schwab. Sister-in-law, Margaret Boettcher.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; daughter-in-law, Dianne Schwab; sister, Erma Kresal and two brothers, Clarence and Edwin Boettcher.
